I've been just so busy at work that it's just gotten to be a giant pain in the butt to come home and want to even think about working on anything else!
Not many sales from the Etsy front, but that's okay. I've sold a few here and there via half.com and make at least one extra dollar a week from my youdata account. It's not much, but it's something and it's new and just getting started. It's cool because they pay you a couple cents to view ads of things that could actually interest you instead of things that won't at all interest you like a lot of sidebar ads.
Getting our new apparel manager at work on June 15th! I'm excited about this! Aaron (our store manager) has told us that she's a seeminly good person and wants to come in and observe how we do our thing before she comes in and just rips us apart. She wants to see what works for our store and see what we do currently that she could help us improve on. I saw her when she interviewed, but didn't talk to her. From the way she walks, she seems to be nice. It'll be nice to finally have someone other than just Bridgette and I or just Bridgette, or just me.
Also! Next week I get to go home for a few days! I miss Texas so much! I cannot wait until I move back there! I'm going to have a potluck picnic and everything! It's going to be so exciting!
I can't wait to see all of my friends and I definitely can't wait to get to see Rocky Horror again! It shall be the most exciting thing ever! Okay, I'm just a little more than excited about this! I've been away from home for a good TEN MONTHS now! I neeeeed to get back home!

Oh Mornings
I am really not a morning person, not at all. There are a few mornings when I am in a good mood, but it is few and far between usually.
Nights are where I live.
Ah, okay, so this may have been pointless because I did just want to update.
I have yet to find my ad on craftcult, but alas I may find it yet!
Ah well, until next time!

Ah, how lovely
I woke up to a sale this morning. That is a rare event indeed for me. Usually every morning I wake up to no sales and no hearts. Some mornings I wake up to a few hearts, but not many.
I need to rethink about my promotion skills. I did finally buy actual advert space on craftcult.com I am quite excited about that. A 7-day sidebar ad shall run starting tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to catch it in action and get a good screen capture of it. Though, I do work nearly all day tomorrow so I won't get to see it's birth on the web.

More Sperm!
I listed another pair of sperm earrings today!!
I'm so very proud of them! I also edited the section of my shop where they were and also edited my etsy tags so they can now be found under geekery instead of jewelry.
I need to make up a bunch more and take them with me when I visit Texas to see if Madame Leah wants to buy up a bunch of them to sell alongside all of the other things sold at Rocky each week.
I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that before...Back home in Fort Worth, TX I went to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show as performed by Los Bastardos (www.losbastardos.com). As a matter of fact, I worked at the theater that hosts them for a year. They're good people so if you're ever in the area on a Saturday you should go check them out!
Hmm, I need to get back to creating!

Oh Cloudy...
Here I had planned on walking to the post office today to mail off a few things, but it's so nasty and cloudy out! I do believe that it's supposed to rain sometime today, and by the looks of it, it could open up right now and pour out on me if I try to walk! Because, you know, the moment that I start out, I'd be about halfway to my destination when I feel that first sprinkle or three. Then, before I know it, I'd be drenched in the sudden downpour and not only would I be wet, so would my letters!
Why walk, you ask? Well, it's because I don't own a car, nor do I possess a driver's license. Why you ask? Well, it's because I never wanted my parents to have to pay for driver's ed in high school so I tried learning at home and doing it that way. Well, my dad was never motivated to make me go out and drive, so I never did. I've never really liked driving. It asks of too much of my direct attention. Not to mention, I'm scared as hell of other people on the road. I can drive alright, I've never hit anything the times I have driven. I get super nervous on the highway, which is pretty "normal."
Plus, walking is better for you!
Okay, so this was mostly pointless and devoid of anything crafty. Meh.

I'M SO SORRY!
OH MY GOSH I AM SORRY!
I really fail at keeping up with a blogspot blog as well as writing my personal LJ.
I haven't done much in the way of Etsy things lately.
HOWEVER!
I did finally make and list my amazingly awesome porcelain sperm earrings! I'm so proud of them!
When I originally made them, I made them from Sculpey polymer clay, but I soon found out that that's not exactly the best clay to be making jewelry with because it was MUCH too flexible and a lot of it just ended up bending out of shape or breaking. Someone on the etsy forums suggested that I use porcelain clay, so soon after I got some ordered and oh my god! I LOVE THE STUFF! It's so easy to shape and work with. Well, so long as you're in a cool room with a bowl of water ready to use when it starts to dry. It's an air-dry clay and its so amazing!
I'm so proud of how the sperm turned out and I know that it's something that's a little weird and a little out there, but I'm thinking that if I can get the word out about them, then I can get them to sell well and fast!
I promise that I will try to update this more often. I need to start listing much more items on the Etsy shop anyway.

One is the Lonliest Number...
I still only have one follower, but that's okay, I haven't written anything in a while, so it's really my own fault for not updating more often!
I'm going to try to see what I can do with plaster today. Would it be wise to make and bake a plaster mold out of clay? I would use a mold release and whatnot with my plaster, I just don't know if that's a wise decision to make.
I've got today and tomorrow off of work! Yay! I hope to be able to spend most of today in the Etsy forums talking and all!

Clay Sperm!
I just thought I'd let everyone know that I am attempting to make clay sperm necklaces and earrings now!
Woot!
I'm having some issues with my clay, but otherwise, this seems to be going well and I've had a lot of people on and off the Etsy site excited about this. Especially since I am trying to make some glow in the dark ones as well.
What a great novelty item!
Well, that's all I have time to say right now, as I must be leaving for work in a few minutes!
Have a great day everyone!

I Apologize...
...For not making an entry in so long!
I would like to state that it is now less than two months until I turn 21! Yay! I can finally legally drink!
Also, the Etsy Etc. forums are my new best friend. I spend most of my time in there lately.
Oh, and I'm hoping to buy a new camera tomorrow. Since my "boyfriend" of sorts has had mine for the last two months.
It's okay, though, because Wal Mart has some good Canons for cheap. Hopefully they'll have the one I want. If they don't have the cheapest of the two, then I'll get the $120 one.
Meh, okay, this was a short entry, I promise I'll post more later.
And whenever I either have a new camera or my old one back, I'll start posting more pictures!

Keep Textbooks Alive
I would just like to say how much it ENRAGES me that there are school districts out there that are surpassing text books for brand new laptops. Not only are they wasting money, they are asking for trouble.
Textbooks don't get viruses. Textbooks cost less. Textbooks give you something to physically hold and learn from. Textbooks do not rely on electricity. Textbooks don't have access to porn (parental locks can be gotten around).
Some school district up here in Nebraska has issues personal laptops to all its middle school and high school students. And they get to take them home. I'm rather peeved about this.
I'm so, so sad to see books and newspapers be pushed to the wayside for a form of communication that is so unreliable.
True, I'm doing that right now by blogging, but I can live without my blogging. I can live without it. Because there are books. There are other things that I could be doing.
I'm just afraid that our children won't have the respect for things anymore without books and paper....
Don't get me wrong, I am happy that paper and forests are getting saved daily by this, but, there's a line you have to draw, you know? I want my books, I want my zines, I want my newspapers.

Zines
Okay, I really, really do need to get back into making them. I want to continue Darling Disasters on. I do want her to be more of a lit zine than a per zine, but if it switches that's okay. The first issue was so amazing and from the few people who ordered it, I've heard good things about it.
I started zines when I was 13. I have never held on to a hobby quite that long. Except maybe the plaster ornament painting, but that doesn't count. Zines have always been a refuge for me and I need refuge more than anything right now.
I have a few things prepared for DD #2, but not much.
So, I've got to force myself to spend less time on the computer and more time creating. I need to worry less about making everything all pretty and computerized and hand draw things more. I really need to make it all raw like I had orignally intended with Darling Disasters.
Plus, I still need to finish reading the stack of zines I've already got to read. Plus I've gotten a few in the mail since being here.
